As you all know Warrior names are made up two parts.

Rank Suffixes
- Prefix: The first half of the cats names. Based on appearance.
- Suffix: The second half of a cats name. Based on rank and the cat’s personality or appearance.
Traditional prefixes
Traditional prefixes are based on nature and things warrior cats would encounter in their daily lives. They can reference to the kits birth. Kits are normally named after there fur colour. Cats have their eyes closed until one moon old and will be blue for a moon after and kits are named immediately after birth. (unless something happened)
Untraditional Prefixes
An untraditional prefix would be based on unrealistic reasoning. I.e Plants/animals not found in the warriors home, or on human concepts. Examples untraditional prefixes:
- Prefixes based on eye colour
- Prefixes based on emotion
- Prefixes based on human spiritual concepts such as angels, the spirits or the soul.
- Prefixes based on items or concepts on human society such as guns,glass,tin, or [li]prefixes gems (ie diamond, rubies, sapphires)
- Prefixes like sun and moon and there variations (Solar, Lunar)
- Prefixes that include clan names. (Shadow, River, Wind, Thunder)
- Prefixes that are the same as the rank suffix (-kit, -paw, -star)
- Prefixes that are verbs (Running, dreaming, killer, shiver ect.)
Traditional suffixes
A traditional warriors suffix is based on one of three things: a cat’s personality, their skills or a distinctive feature of their appearance.
Though something’s are highly discouraged some things like:
- Using the suffix -step with a non-animal prefix.
- Using feminine suffixes such as -flower for a male.
- Using a suffix -cloud with an aggressive or fierce-sounding prefix.
- Using a suffix that is the same as the prefix (ie Silentsilent)
Untraditional Suffixes
An untraditional suffixes is suffix that have human concepts, emotions, an animal, human objects or aspects of nature that cannot be converted to adjectives.
- Suffixes that use sun or moon or there variations. (solar, lunar)
- Suffixes that are verbs, such as running, dance, echo (unless SkyClan). Etc
- Suffixes that use human spiritual concepts such as angels, spirits, soul, etc.
- Suffixes that use human items only found in human society.
- Suffixes that use emotions (ie love, hope, sorrow, ect.)Suffix: The second half of a cats name. Based on rank and the cat’s personality or appearance.
Rank Suffixes
Rank suffixes are mandatory suffixes given to cats who fall a category, Kits, Apprentices and leader are given rank suffixes.
- kit: given to a cat at birth, this suffix is kept until the cat is six moons of age.
- paw:given to a cat upon entering their apprenticeship, this suffix is kept until they cat reaches their warrior ceremony. Which can happen at any age most typically take place at twelve moons.
- star: given a cat at the leader’s ceremony, which is kept secret from all other cats. It denotes leadership and can be given to a cat of any age who has trained at least one apprentice.
