Description:
Sootkit is your fairly average tom when it comes to his body build. He's a bit on the larger side, just slightly above average. But he's a gentle giant. This tom is pretty much all black in looks. However, Sootkit does have a small white spot on his chest. When he is full grown he will be about three times the size of his sister. He shares the same golden eyes as his sister, which also happens to be the same for Eaglekit also. He is very muscular with long, lean legs.
Personality:
Level-headed, Sensible, Empathetic, Homebody
Sootkit is a very level-headed kit. He is very good at showing how sensible he can be and keeps calm in tough situations. When asked who was ‘right’ about something or another, he is not one to take sides lightly. He must hear both sides of the argument before making his decision about who is right/wrong. Even when he knows one cat is definitely guilty of something, he still will hear them out. He is searching for truth. Though this sense he has is slightly skewed when his little sister is involved. More often than none, he will take her side. This is one little kit with very good judgment. He would make a great leader someday.
He is also a very empathetic kit. He feels what others feel, especially when the sadder emotions are involved. If he sees a cat that is sad, he instantly becomes sad and wants to do anything he can to cheer them up. He still is learning how to control this aspect of himself and it gives him some trouble sometime.
Where his sister is adventurous and outgoing, and always in some sort of trouble, Sootkit prefers to stay in the nursery and out of trouble. He likes to try and keep himself out of these kind of situations. He will follow his sister on her more dangerous ideas just so he can try to keep her safe. This also includes him trying to stop her from exhausting herself like she is known to do. He just doesn’t understand why his sister likes to push herself so hard that she is so exhausted she can’t move. Usually he is the one to move her.
History:
Sootkit was born into a medium sized litter of kits. It would be his parents first litter, and they couldn’t have been more excited. Alongside Sootkit there was another tom, Eaglekit. Both were good friends and loved to play with eachother. Sootkit was more preferring to sit back and relax. He enjoyed conversations with the older kits in the nursery. But he felt as if he were waiting for something. It was like his life wasn’t complete just yet.
When he was just three moons old his mother announced that she would be having another litter of kits. Sootkit was excited. He got to be a big brother and teach a new litter of kits everything. He was told that he would be a little over four moons old when the new litter would be born. And Sootkit thought that was perfect, he would be able to teach them a little bit just before he would become an apprentice. But when something went horribly wrong and his mother gave birth to the litter of kits just a half moon later, much too early for anyone’s comfort….everything was silent. Sootkit was worried about his mother, yes, but as he saw both of his new siblings, they were still and not moving an inch. They didn’t even make a sound. Neither kit survived, but to everyone else’s surprise another kit was born. She was small and just looked so frail. However, this kit was moving, and she even made a small squeak. It was then Sootkit knew it would be his job to protect his new sister. His mother even allowed him and his littermate to name his new sibling. After some discussion, the two kits came up with Rabbitkit.
To this day, Sootkit tries to keep his baby sister out of trouble but it is quite hard. Especially with the latest discovery of her speech issue. He tries to help her when he can, but Rabbitkit is still little and he is afraid he will hurt her…or she will hurt herself with her reckless stunts.

It was that time again, both of his siblings were arguing over something or another. Once again, it would be his job to be the peacemaker. He did his best to try and figure out what Rabbitkit was saying, but trying to understand her was sometimes the most difficult thing to do. Eaglekit was staring at Rabbitkit, appearing to do the same. With a deep sigh, he knew what he had to do. His sister would hate it, but it would keep her out of trouble. Grabbing the tiny kit by the scruff, he put her back in the nursery. Before exiting, he glared at her, trying to be stern and telling her to stay still. Running back to his brother he sighed. He hoped Eaglekit was telling the truth about the whole situation.
