Losteyes has dark black fur with grey now forming around his muzzle and ears. His ears are a sharp yellow with a bit of green around the center. The fact that he is blind isn't noticeable from a first glance. His ears are almost constantly on the move to take in the sounds around him and compensate for his lack of sight. His pace is sure but slow hiding the fact that he is testing the ground as he goes preferring to stick to more familiar routes. He is graceful with his tail wearing a bit thin around the tip.
Personality
Lay your weary head to rest
Losteyes is a wary cat. He is proud as he was a warrior in his younger ears and walks with care to hide how age has altered his abilities. He has retired with the elders but still walks proudly and will patrol around the edges of the camp following routes that he's memorized to avoid tripping. He is snappish when caught by surprise usually lashing out in the direction of whatever the surprise came from as he's unable to asses whether or not there is a threat there or not without his sight. He is slightly bitter about his loss of sight for the weakness it's given him but for the most part has concentrated on adapting to it.
Losteyes usually sleeps near the edge of the group of elders, close enough to share their warmth but far enough that he can pretend that he is looking over the others. A part of him feels guilty for his retirement and he does his best to not be a burden on the clan listening closely to what's being said and willing to step in whenever kits need to be watched still able to perform that duty thanks to his excellent hearing.
History
Don't you cry no more
Mate: Sunsplash
Kits: Paledust, Pouncehawk, Echoleap, Fawnspots, Crookedtooth, Oneheart, Dawnthorn, Runningwind, Ottermask, Frostflower
Losteyes was born in a large litter. He play-fought with his siblings and was quick to learn new ways to pin them. He loved running and was always the first to step in when someone needed help. When he was apprenticed he was disciplined several times for lacking patience and going ahead in situations when doing so could place him in danger. He was proud when he was made a warrior, and worked hard bringing in prey for the clan and patrolling to keep any stray cats that didn't belong out of the area. He got a few scars on his body that his fur covers from doing so.
He met a beautiful she-cat, Sunsplash. Losteyes was head over heels with her, and when she had kits he proved to be a devoted if firm father. They had three litters together that survived, each one that had the promise of living and failing met with a period of grief before the two cats would comfort each other and move on.
It was during a patrol that his life changed. A dog had gotten loose, and was running through the woods. The cats were caught by surprise. They managed to escape, but a severe blow to the head left Losteyes running blind. He managed to stumble his way to the medicine den where he was looked over. Nothing appeared to be wrong and he was given time to recover. As the days passed however the darkness over his eyes didn't fade. Eventually he was forced to admit that he wouldn't be able to see again and to retire to being an elder. It's been two years since then. He's adapted to living without sight but still longs to aid his clan even as age begins to wear him down.

Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Losteyes laid out in the sun his eyes closed. He could feel it coming through the leaves the warmth slowly soaking through his dark fur. Idly his tail twitched behind him. It felt good just laying where he was. He had gone a fair distance from the elders den choosing a large smooth rock out in the open instead. The sun came through better here. Twitching his ears he could hear the sound of a couple apprentices practicing pouncing in the leaves their steps quick as they tried to best each other.
Losteyes raised his head as the noise came towards him his nose twitching as he took in the scent. It was one of his daughters. She'd grown up to be a beautiful warrior. Smiling he stretched out taking a moment to get the kinks out before coming down to greet her. He rubbed along her side purring. "Good day."
