Dapplepaw
Dapplepaw padded back into camp after the gathering. She looked around at all the young kittens and young apprentices. 'One of these cats will be my apprentice! I can hardly wait to boss someone around and teach them the ways of the medicine cats.' Dapplepaw thought to herself. For only being an apprentice for a few moons, she felt ready to take on the responsibility of being a full Medicine Cat.
Dapple spotted Leopardstorm and trotted over to her and asked ," When will I receive my name and my apprentice? I would really like to take my apprentice with me when I go to the moon pool."
Dapplepaw waited for a response, but then remembered that Coalkit probably needed to be tended to. She quickly trotted to the nursery and grabbed the small ball of fluff and brought him into the clearing, to examine him better.
Dapplepaw sat the kit down on the cold ground so she could begin to check the small kit once again. The kit squirmed as she tried to check to make sure he was still okay after his traumatic birth, but everything seemed to be normal.
The rain was beginning to finally start. A few small drops of rain hit Dapplepaw in the whiskers. She cleaned them off her face and quickly took the small kitten back into the nursery so he wouldn't get wet.
Dapple gently set the small ball of fluff back into his nest. Coalkit snuggled up to the edge of the nest and fell asleep promptly. Dapplepaw looked at the small kit it pure amazement, She couldn't believe that some thing so small, could make such a fuss. Or bring one cat so much joy. Leopardstorm was always so stuck up and lost in her own mind that Dapple almost felt sorry for the small kit. His mother was going to be the leader of the clan, which meant she had a lot of cats to look after. Dapple just hoped Leopardstorm would make time for Coalkit and maybe even teach him about his father.
Dapplepaw padded back out into the clearing. The rain had picked up a little bit, but Dapplepaw didn't mind. She really enjoyed watching the rain falling and hitting the ground. It was soothing for her in away. She let out a small yawn and proceeded to lay in the middle of the clearing, feeling the rain hit her fur reminded her that she was still alive. Her clan needed her, she just hoped she could be the best medicine cat she could possibly be.
