Name: Captain
Clan: Loner
Rank: Adult Loner
Age: 44 moons
Description: This cat looks like your typical Russian Blue with the exception of a white splotch on his back and a silvery muzzle that appeared with age. All in all, Captain is pretty average. An average body build, average height and average strength. However, what he makes up in a lack of specialness, he makes up in his stamina and preciseness. Captain's a fighter and you can also see that by the many scars on his body. Old scars that used to be deep cuts can be seen on his neck, belly, back and shoulders while both his ears have a few nicks in them.
Personality: A loner at heart. Captain is quiet and usually tries to give off a subtle presence. He's not one to seek attention and dislikes it. This doesn't mean he can't have a large presence. Oh, no. This tom is the leader type and is willing to be the cat someone can look up to. He also enjoys helping others and has a way to get into someone's heart whether he realizes it or not. After all, Captain has an uncanny ability to relate with others and understand situations from both perspectives.
On the other paw, there's something more dark about this handsome tom. He's a fierce fighter and is willing to do almost anything to survive. The only exception to the 'anything to survive' bit is if he's defending someone. Captain is as loyal as can be though that type of situation does test him. When he does decide to fight seriously, he fights seriously. This tom is ruthless and without mercy in a fight. He will not stop until his opponent is dead, close to dead or until someone calls him off. Once he sets his mind to do something, he does it.
History: As a kit, he was born to a perfectly bred show she-cat, a perfectly bred tom and competitive owners. Once he was born, they were appalled to see that the first-born of the litter was imperfect, a white splotch on his back made him that. They weren't completely cruel though. They waited until this kit could walk and was weaned before they abandoned him.
After that, the young one was practically helpless. When two humans picked him off the street, the kit was almost dead. These two humans brought him back to health until he was back to full health then trained him. His new name for awhile would be Number Twenty-Four. Thus began his new life as a fighting cat. Yup, his new owners were amateur cat fighters. They picked up Captain only because they believed a Russian Blue like him would be a pretty face and perhaps make them a bit of extra cash or a bit of fame. What they didn't know was that he would be one of the best fighters in the arena.
24 was actually horrible during training and lost his first few fights. The kit was scared and had no idea what to do. It wasn't until one of the old timers told him to stop whimpering and man up. Fight or you'll die. The reality hit him. He would continue to lose a few more fights before he steadily became better and better. The will to survive was what kept him going. He learned that he could last longer than most cats and used that to his advantage in fights. It wasn't long until he became one of his owners's best cats.
Eventually, they put him in the more serious arenas. These fights were much more deadly and more of a risk for the owners of the cats. Why? Because here, it was a fight to the death. The loser's owner got a dead cat while the winner's owner got himself more respect and a lot more money than what they'd get from the original arenas. Cats here were ruthless and strong. It was here where he was nicknamed 99 as it was rumored among humans that he could defeat that many cats. Of course, that's not true. He had fought 99 cats before. 11 matches where he had to defeat 9 cats, one by one. A show and test of his stamina.
He made a good name for himself there and was sometimes even slightly pampered by his owners. Life was alright. 99 even made a friend, one of the breeding cats that lived in the cage next to his. He called her Cork while she gave him a new name, Captain. Then the inevitable happened, they fell in love. Oh, yes. They did have kits thanks to their owners but those kits were born out of love and not just cold breeding.
A few weeks after the kits were born and Captain was in the arena, something happened. They were busted. Somehow, someway, the tom escaped from the commotion and panic of humans. He then began his life as a loner, travelling from place to place. Now, he has made his way over to where the clans are and has taken shelter in the nearby farm. He is curious about the Clans and their ways but isn't sure if he could or be willing to join one. Another goal in his mind is to find Cork. Perhaps one day...
Roleplay Sample: It was the day after a fight. The blue tom's muscles were aching and his wounds stung. 99 had just gone through his first stamina fight in the new arena and he was absolutely exhausted. One opponent here was hard enough but nine? That was absolute torture. The fighter felt certain that he was going to lose this one. He was tempted to lose this one and just slip away into the sweet embrace of dark death. Then, he had remembered something. Cork was back home, waiting for him. Maybe his human's would let them out and play if he won! So, he fought on. Now, as he thought back on that moment, he wondered if it was all worth it. As soon as Captain looked at the kindest she-cat in the world next to him, his foolish mind made up and answer. Yes.
